What's in a Cookie?

A cookie is a simple text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device by a website's server and only that server will be able to retrieve or read the contents of that cookie. Each cookie is unique to your web browser. It will contain some anonymous information such as a unique identifier and the site name and some digits and numbers.

Third-Party Cookies

We use a couple of independent services which may set cookies on their respective websites in order to offer you the services that they are providing.

We make use of photo galleries which are hosted on Picasa.  This is the only external site we use in this way, but you should check such relevant third party websites for more information about cookies from those sources.

This site has 'share' buttons to enable users of the website to share articles with colleagues on websites like Facebook, Twitter and Google+ social networks. These websites may set a cookie when you are also logged in to their service. Our site does not control these cookies.

We also use Google's 'Analytics' system which notes your activity on the website, and the course you take through the pages. This information is used solely by ecbi, in order to guide our choices in designing the site, and give you a better experience on it.
